[edit] Trivia
- Nami Tamaki's musical contributions in the Gundam SEED franchise (the songs Realize and Believe for Gundam SEED 3rd and final opening and Reason as Gundam SEED Destiny's first ending, and Result as Gundam Seed Destiny OVA special opening) led to an approach from producers asking to voice the character of Shiho Hahnenfuss, similar to Takanori Nishikawa (another major contributor to the Gundam SEED franchise's music) voicing the roles of Miguel Aiman (Gundam SEED) and Heine Westenfluss and Vivian Hsu (part of Vivian or Kazuma, who sang the 2nd opening of SEED Moment) voicing Aisha (Gundam SEED). However, Tamaki turned the offer down and as a result, while Shiho makes several appearances in Gundam SEED Destiny (as well as an appearance as the unseen pilot of the CGUE DEEP ARMS in a five-minute short featuring Lowe Guele), she never speaks. This is seen as beneficial for the character as while Heine, Miguel and Aisha were all brutally killed shortly after their introduction, Shiho lives through both series and is one of the most popular background characters in the SEED universe.
- Her song 大胆にいきましょう↑Heart & Soul↑ (Daitan ni Ikimashou) is a remake of the A*Teens song "A Perfect Match". It uses the same tune, but is otherwise original.
- Two of her songs, "Realize" and "Get Wild", were made in collaboration with a student in the Class of 2009 at UC San Diego School of Medicine (UCSD), who she made friends with as a child in Japan, one as an original track and the other as a modern version of a song from the popular 80's band, TM Network.
- There are four more versions of her song "High School Queen" - one is sung by a Spanish singer (Belinda Peregrin, being titled as "Boba Niña Nice"), one by a Dutch singer (Kim-Lian) one by a Portuguese band, D'ZRT, being titled as "Para mim tanto me faz" and the another by a Czech singer Ewa Farna in the last.
- She has performed the theme song Fortune for the PS2 RPG "Radiata Stories". She is also represented as a character and can be recruited to join the player's party.
- Nami Tamaki graduated from High School in March 2007; her first Best Album was released on November 29, 2006 to mark the event, and she will start her acting and stage performances in full speed after her graduation. The first event was her first Best Album concert tour: NAMI TAMAKI Best CONCERT “My Graduation” on the 11th, 17th, 23rd and 31st of March 2007 at various places in Japan.
