Natalie Powers (July 26, 1977) is a British singer in the Bubblegum pop group Scooch, who will represent United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007.

[edit] Early career
Brought-up in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, Powers had her first taste of fame when her parents Peter and Gloria took her to an audtition for the part of Annie in the play of the same name. She toured around the country, and was part of many other performances before the age of 14, acting with the likes of Michael Barrymore and Les Dawson.
At age 16, she left school, and went to the Arts Educational School of Performing Arts in Chiswick. Once her education here had finished, she left and took a leading roll in Starlight Express. She took part in several more plays, before a career change.

While reading an issue of The Stage, Powers noticed an article for auditions for a new pop act. She applied, received an audition, and was later cast in the and, along with Caroline Barnes, David Ducasse and Russ Spencer.
Scooch went on to have moderate success, with a #5 hit, and three other top 40 singles. After a disapointing album, the band were dropped by their label, just as Natalie fell pregnant with her son. She left the band, and the others decided not to carry on without their lead singer.

Powers was signed with label Almighty Records in July 2001. This resulted in a top #5 UK Dance hit with 'Music To My Heart', originally recorded by Scooch. She later remixed a track by French artist Lara Fabian.
Her Vocal's were featured on the 2003 hit Liftin' Me Up by Echoten. Later that year she signed a contract with Mike Stock's label Better The Devil. Despite many hours of excruciating work, by late 2004, nothing had materialised, so she was therefore dropped.
That same year saw Scooch reunite for a tour of some of the UK's top gay clubs, finishing with a sell-out performance at G-A-Y.

In late 2006, the four members of Scooch were contacted about reforming to take part in the following year's Making Your Mind Up to select a song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007. The four decided to, and on 28 February, the announcement was made.
The competition took place on March 17, 2007, which saw Scooch win with their song Flying the Flag (for You). They will take this song to Helsinki on May 12, where they will represent United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007.
