The UK's National Institute for Excellence in the Creative Industries™(NIECI) is based at Bangor University, North Wales, UK.
Throughout the World, the Creative Industries are defined as: Television and Radio, the Writing Arts and Publishing (incl. Creative Writing, Professional Writing and Communications, Journalism), Film and Video, Architecture, Music, Performing Arts, software and computer games, Crafts, Design, Designer Fashion, Art and Antiques Market, Interactive Leisure Software and Advertising.
The National Institute for Excellence in the Creative Industries™ (NIECI) specialises in three key areas:
1. Creative Writing, Professional Writing and Communications, Journalism;
2. Media, Film and Cinema Studies, New Media;
3. The Entertainment Industries and Performance Arts.
