National Republican Greek League

The National Republican Greek League (Greek: Εθνικός Δημοκρατικός Ελληνικός Σύνδεσμος, Ethnikos Dimokratikos Ellinikos Syndesmos, abbreviated EDES) was a World War II Greek resistance movement.
Its core leadership were anti-communist, Venizelist nad republican army officers, in contrast to the larger communist-affiliated National People's Liberation Army (ELAS) and its sister group, the non-military National Liberation Front (EAM). It was led by colonel Napoleon Zervas. An ideologically similar, but much smaller, group was the National and Social Liberation (EKKA).
