National University Hospital

The National University Hospital (Abbreviation: NUH; Chinese: 国立大学医院; Malay: Hospital Universiti Nasional Singapura) is a hospital in Singapore that is located adjacent to the medical faculty of the National University of Singapore at Kent Ridge. Besides being a teaching hospital for the university, it also acts as a research centre.
It is located at the foot of Kent Ridge, within the eastern boundary of the university grounds. The Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) lies close by, the closest exit to the hospital being Exit 8. The closest Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station is Buona Vista MRT station. Two overpasses over the AYE connect the NUH grounds to the town of Dover.
When the Circle MRT Line has been completed, NUH will have its own MRT station, to be named Kent Ridge MRT Station.
It is served by the bus route of Singapore bus services 14 and 33, 95, 198 and 197, which are owned by SBS Transit and SMRT.
NUH is a tertiary referral hospital with a full complement of medical services including pediatrics, general medicine, various branches of surgery and psychiatry. In addition to an emergency department and over seventy hospital wards, the National University Hospital has forty six outpatient clinics and specialised service centres. It also contains a dental and an orthodontal wing with three dental specialist clinics.
NUH is also the first hospital in Singapore to achieve triple ISO certification
