Naval Air Station Halifax
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Naval Air Station Halifax was a U.S. Navy airbase located in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, that was established in 1918 (during World War I) and operated only briefly as a base for flying boats. NAS Halifax was transferred to the Royal Canadian Naval Air Service at the end of World War I. The RCNAS is now part of the Canadian Forces and the site of NAS Halifax is now part of the shore-side facilities of CFB Shearwater.
