Navigation is the theory and practice of navigating, especially the charting of a course for a ship, aircraft, or spaceship (American Heritage Dictionary).
Navigation may also mean:
- Automotive navigation system
- House navigation system, to guide home robots at home. It can use house plans (floor plans). See also, domotic network.
- A river rendered navigable by the use of weirs and locks
- It is used as a synonym for canal for example Birmingham Canal Navigations
- In the WWW and information systems the process of goal-directed locating and traversing hyperlinked information, browsing
- A synonym for ship transport in general.
