This is a template to be used for specific seasons of NCAA basketball and football. To add support for another sport, please request on the talk page.

|Year* = Year of the season (format for football:2007; format for basketball 2006-07)
|Prev year* = Year of previous season; format: 2007-08 (basketball only)
|Next year* = Year of next season; format: 2006-07 (basketball only)
|Team* = Name of the team
|Basketball = Yes to indicate basketball season; leave blank if football
|Image = Name of the image
|ImageSize = Size of the image; defaults to 150px
|Conference* = Conference the team belongs to (should be the name of the wikilink); if Independent, put that
|Division = Division in the conference
|ShortConference = Abbreviation of conference name
|CoachRank = The ranking of the team in the [[Coaches Poll]]
|APRank = The ranking of the team in the [[AP Poll]]
|Record* = The record of the team this season
|ConfRecord* = The record on the team this season in conference play
|HeadCoach = The name of the head coach
|OffCoach = The name of the [[offensive coordinator]] (football only)
|DefCoach = The name of the [[defensive coordinator]] (football only)
|AsstCoach1 = The name of an assistant coach (basketball only)
|AsstCoach2 = The name of an assistant coach (basketball only)
|OScheme = The primary offensive scheme of the team (football only)
|DScheme = The primary defensive scheme of the team (football only)
|StadiumArena = The name of the home stadium or arena of the team
|Champion = The championships won by the team this year
|BowlTourney = For football, the bowl game the team played in this year
               For basketball, the round in the NCAA or NIT tournament the team made it to
|BowlTourneyResult = For football, the result of the bowl game
                     For basketball, the result of the last game they played in the tournament
