Nelson Hardy

Nelson Hardy(1906-1993) an Australian rugby league player who played 87 matches for the Eastern Suburbs club from(1925-30). Hardy was playing in the Eastern Suburbs first grade side at just 18 years of age.
An accomplished centre and fullback, Hardy played in three tests for Australia and was a frequent representive of NSW throughout his career.
Hardy played out his career in England playing for the Warrington Wolves club.
Hardy's son's Kevin and Don played first grade for Eastern Suburbs while Grandson, Steve, was an Australian schoolboy rugby league representative who played for both the Cronulla and Eastern Suburbs clubs.
A glazier by trade, Hardy was aged 86 at the time of his death in 1993.
