[edit] Business
Neponset has one gas station that was built within the last decade. The residents are very pleased with this since they no longer need to go to the nearby town of Kewanee for this. But within the first week of October it was shut down due to lack of business. It should be noted, however, that this was the Business District. Also this is the headquarters for Martin Engineering and Mike's Barbershop (Mike has been cutting hair for over sixty years and has never raised the price of his cuts which is $1.75).[citation needed]
