[edit] POV Dispute re. Alliance Schism
Okay, an editor feels that the section on the schism where Mike Ventrella broke away from NERO International to create the NERO Alliance is not NPOV because it doesn't include the personal opinion of Mr. Ventrella. Please note that the section as written includes only facts that can be found in the relevant court documents of the case or the web sites of the two NERO organizations, not the personal opinion of Mr. Valenti, Mr. Ivey, Mr. Ventrella, or anybody else.
What statement in that section do you feel is actually biased? Besides just asking for Mr. Ventrella's opinion to be placed there (which would make the section POV since there is nobody else's opinion there), what do you want to see done to make the section neutral? --Wingsandsword 16:09, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
I wrote the lawsuit section of this entry. I got the information from the websites of both Nero International AND Nero Alliance, as well as the court documents. How can this NOT be neutral? Both viewpoints are represented, and verified in the court documents. I see no bias whatsoever.

It is more than likely because it generally states a lawsuit and then states a response which specifically defines the argument not from Ventrella's opinion but from Joseph Valenti's or the writers. When you say Mike V sued, and then International calls it a frivilous affair and an attempt to steal NERO, you have a possiblity of a case of opinion not fact.
- Well, it's an article about NERO International, so the fact it is being sued by another entity, and it's response to being sued. That doesn't seem like a case of "opinion", you have the fact that NERO Alliance sued NERO International and what their allegation was, that NERO International is violating the copyrights of NERO Alliance, and the fact that the response of NERO International was that the suit was blatant Frivolous litigation. You said you have "a possibility of a case of opinion not fact". This isn't about possibility, the article is tagged with an NPOV dispute, which means somebody already disputes that this is written from an NPOV. Yes, the response of NERO International was to claim that the lawsuit was frivolous and an attempt to seize control of NERO, but that was in response to allegations of copyright infringement and a request for NERO International to destroy all their rulebooks and cease using their rule system, it sounds like the allegations of both parties have been listed. --Wingsandsword 02:51, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
