Network interface

In telecommunications and computer networking, a network interface is one of:
- The point of interconnection between a user terminal and a private or public network.
- The network card on a computer (in casual usage).
- The point of interconnection between a public switched telephone network and a privately owned terminal. In the United States, the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 47, part 68, stipulates the interface parameters.
- The point of interconnection between one network and another network.
