[edit] Removing Military Badges Link
Dear Neutrality-
Please stop taking out the links to Military badges of the United States which is in every article associated with that topic. The category link is an alphabet listing while the link to the mian article is a comprehensive "broken down" index. Both the article link and the category should remain in every badge article, I feel. Husnock 30 Sep 2004
- Got your reply. I certinaly wont revert any of your changes. You made a good point. We are talking about dozens of articles, though. If you have that kind of time, more power to you. New articles will probably be written with the same format, i.e. "See also" at the bottom. P.S.- How does one archive discussion pages? I've been trying to figure that out. Husnock 1 Oct 2004

Trying to load http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=The_Simpsons&oldid=6255805 to revert some sandbox-ish edits to the page, but I'm getting an error from the Wiki servers. Many thanks for the suggestion on my talk page. I have no objections to being nominated as an admin, provided that the consequent obligations would not be too heavy. Are you aware of http://www.fws.gov/help/policies.html section "Restrictions on using the Service logo"? Another graphic of the USFWS logo was on WP:CP a few months back, and the consensus then was not to use it but to use the public domain image Image:USFWS Logo.jpg instead. We cannot use the logo graphics, but we can use a photo showing the logo (or, in this case, the logo patch on a USFWS officer's uniform). Similar restrictions apply to many other logos of U.S. government agencies. Their logo graphics typically are trademarked and most certainly are not in the public domain. At the utmost, a "fair use" claim could be made. Lupo 06:40, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Oh, and BTW, if an image is "obsoleted" by another, the old image doesn't become a speedy deletion candidate. Use WP:IFD for such images, unless the new version is a larger, sharper, or otherwise improved version of exactly the same image, in which case the old one may qualify for speedy deletion. Thanks for your helpful edits to the page. I wanted to let you know that I replaced "probability" with "probabilistic" as it was before. "Probabilistic interpretation" seems fine to me, and the phrase is in common use in statistics. I was also wondering why you took out the link to the Newsweek article. I see you cleaned up the intro text for this category. Thanks, I'd done rather a sloppy job of it. You also removed it from the parent category Category:West Virginia counties, and I can see no reason why. Under the assumption that you deleted the category by mistake, I've restored it.
