New Miami is a village of southwestern Ohio in central Butler County, Ohio's St. Clair Township. The population was 2,469 at the 2000 census.

New Miami is located at 39°25′54″ N 84°32′28″ W (39.431666666667, -84.541111111111) (39.431556, -84.541056)^GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.4 km² (0.9 mi²). 2.3 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it (4.30%) is water.

As of the census^GR2 of 2000, there were 2,469 people, 877 households, and 701 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,071.1/km² (2,782.1/mi²). There were 934 housing units at an average density of 405.2/km² (1,052.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 92.99% White, 5.35% African American, 0.65% Native American, 0.08% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.12% from other races, and 0.77% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.69% of the population.

There were 877 households out of which 35.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.4% were married couples living together, 17.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.0% were non-families. 15.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.82 and the average family size was 3.11.

In the village the population was spread out with 27.9% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 29.5% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 99.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.1 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $35,476, and the median income for a family was $40,057. Males had a median income of $30,938 versus $19,966 for females. The per capita income for the village was $15,538. About 10.3% of families and 11.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 15.2% of those under age 18 and 5.9% of those age 65 or over.

New Miami is a small village sitting north of Hamilton, OH. Originally known as Coke Otto, Otto or Kokotto for its large coal field and steal mill. Its unique southern like culture is created by the large amount of Appalachian decedents. New Miami is known for the large amount of bars and churches located with in its borders. Also within this small community a handful of small businesses that holds Hollywood like fame to the locals.
