Not-for-profit bookstore and meeting space located in Chicago. Claims to be Chicago's "oldest independent left-wing & labor bookstore and meeting center, providing books, periodicals, t-shirts, etc. to progressives and activists."
Carries a variety of publications and books which pertain to such issues as Anarchism, Socialism, Marxism, anti-racism, feminism, environmentalism, and general leftist topics.
Its current location is Located at 1300 N Western Avenue.
A number of groups use the meeting space including the Chicago branch of the Industrial Workers of the World, which also rents their office at this facility.
