NHS Institute For Innovation and Improvement

The NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement is a Special Health Authority of the UK National Health Service.
The mission of the NHS Institute (as it is sometimes known for short) is:

- 'to improve health outcomes and raise the quality of delivery in the NHS by accelerating the uptake of proven innovation and improvements in healthcare delivery models and processes, medical products and devices and healthcare leadership'.
Its priorities (as at May 2006) are:
- No Delays (18 Week Wait)
- Healthcare Associated Infections (e.g. MRSA)
- Primary Care/ Long Term Conditions/
- Delivering Quality and Value
