Nicholas McKenna Media/NMM is a small operation headquartered in Washington, DC with a development lab in San Diego, CA. The lab in California produces Pufftags, one of Nicholas McKenna Media's most popular creations. In addition to Pufftags, Nicholas McKenna Media also owns several hundred domain namessome have been lost due to non-renewal; many others are retained until new companies or products place a bid for them.
NMM is owned and operated by Nicholas McKenna and the primary employees are Victoria McKenna, Finance Director; Fayha Al-Ghambdi, Assistant Director; Kyle Farr, Reporter; and Kenneth Bordes, Technical Services Director. NMM also runs the Nicholas McKenna Foundation which assists public school teachers in Washington, DC to get school supplies they cannot otherwise afford on the stipends that DCPS provided for them. Nicholas McKenna plans to arrange volunteer efforts in the near future at Johns Hopkins University's Kimmel Cancer Center as he is a survivor himself.
NMM's work came under harsh public criticism when a parody of the Washington, DC Department of Motor Vehicles became public. The Washington City Paper first reported on the parody in their City Desk section. The next day, WJLA's Jennifer Donelan reported on the parody and it was aired on the 5 o'clock news in Washington, DC. Fans of the site and the opponents gathered on The Tribunal section of nbdinz.com and spoke about it.
