Greetings, comrades! My name is Nick Kalivoda, and I am currently trying to translate at least one full article for the Esperanto version of Wikipedia every day. Here are my userboxes.
I live in Athens, Georgia, United States. I'm still in high school, and I graduate in 2008. I like the Athens music scene, and I mostly listen to indie rock. I'm really interested in Surrealism, Dada, Existentialism, and Socialism. I support the Green Party. I like to learn, create, and study languages. I made my own language with its own culture and country. I study French, Latin, and ancient Greek. I can read texts in Interlingua easily enough, and I'd like to learn it, but I can't find a good course. I dabbled in Toki Pona, but it hurt my brain. I'm the proud owner of a copy of the 1970 publication of PIV (Plena Ilustrita Vortaro de Esperanto). I'm quite certain that I shall study linguistics when I go to college.
I'm not a big fan of cars, due to the noise, pollution, danger, etc. Unfortunately, they're often unavoidable in my current life. I like bicycles a lot, and I try to cycle as often as possible. Buses are good too. I bike a lot on the weekends and during summer/winter/spring break, and when I "grow up" I'll hopefully always be able to cycle, walk, or take buses instead of use cars.
