Nigel Burrell

Nigel Burrell, a leading real estate identity in northern Queensland city of Cairns in Australia. Born in Falmouth, Cornwall in the United Kingdom, came to Australia in 1970 with his Royal Naval Commander father, mother and younger sister. His father was transferred to Cairns as the naval base commanding officer in 1972. This lead to a career in the Northern Prawn fishery centred in the rugged Gulf of Carpentaria. His family returned to the U.K. in 1976, leaving him as the only member of the immediate family in Australia. After forging a successful life in the 'Prawning' industry and having his own trawler and fishing company, he sold out in the late 80's, changed career paths and eventually settled in Real estate. He has provided a broad range of real estate services for over 14 years. He is currently the Principal Licensee at RE/MAX Real Estate Services' Smithfield office in the northern suburb of this magnificent tropical & cosmopolitain city.
