Nikolai Levey
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nikolai Levey is a producer of popular music, most notable for producing some of Coldplay's early recordings.
More recently Nikolai has been working with InBetweenDays and helped them sign to North London record label 'Remake/Remodel Records'. However following a 'bust-up' in the studio with the band's manager, Tegan, Nikolai was removed from production duties.
Nikolai who resides from Stanmore, Middlesex famously rejected the band Blue, believing they didn't have the talent to make it. This led to an infamous incident between Anthony Costa (who lived in the nearby town Edgware) in a public brawl where Nikolai called him "Bob The Builder". Since then Anthony is referred to by many people as "Bob" especially around the Northwest London area.
After failing to get on this season's "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here," Nikolai is seeking to retreat from his Stanmore base and make a clean break. Industry insiders predict that he will move to the buzzy Crouch End/Highgate area next summer, where he would be in good company with other affluent young media types.
The Towers Of London are rumoured to be interested in getting Nikolai on board to produce their next album which is due out in Spring 2007. Nikolai was one of the first people to bring the band into the spotlight in 2004 so the chances of a collaboration is likely.
