Nilópolis

Nilópolis is a city and a municipality located in the Rio de Janeiro state's southwestern region, bordering São João de Meriti, Mesquita, Rio de Janeiro state, and with a population of 153,712 inhabitants living in an area of 19.16 km².
Nilópolis was part of hereditary captainship of São Vicente that belonged to Martim Afonso de Souza in 1531. It is also the home of Beija Flor Samba School.
Brazil has several administrative divisions called States. One of these states is called Rio de Janeiro. The state of Rio de Janeiro has lots of subdivisions called Cities. One of these cities is Nilópolis, as shown in the following map:
