The name's wrong - Roman wives did not take their husband's "surname". If we're to follow the convention of the TV series, she'd be Niobe of the Voreni. --Nicknack009 11:43, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
Good point. When the pages were split out, the names were kept off the table on the main article page. This should probably be moved, and the 'what links to this pages' redirected. Beowulf314159 14:22, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
True, but Servilia was not a Junii by birth yet she was referred to as Servilia of the Junii by people. --Sophie-Lou 14:23, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Suicide?
This is conjecture. It has not been confirmed that Niobe is dead, unless HBO has specifically announced this and I'm unaware the announcement (it is not cited, so I can only guess that HBO has not made announcement). The series ended with Lucius clutching her, and though she was not responding, this doesn't mean she is dead. Until the show confirms it, I move that this be stricken from the article. After all, it was meant to be a cliffhanger. If no one responds to this comment soon, I will take that as an acceptance and will remove the information from the article. - I agree completely. This is an obvious TV cliffhanger -- she might be alive, she might be crippled, she might be brain damaged, and so forth. It is unlikely that Niobe survived. The actress who portrays her is now on a new show called 3lbs on CBS. 198.185.182.253 21:30, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
It is official now that Niobe is dead, you can watch the trailer for season 2 of Rome on HBO's website in which you hear Vorenus lamenting that he has caused the death of his wife *and children* (they must die in this new season because they were alive still at the close of season 1). Jan. 9, 2007
