Ṣeka is an abbreviation of Ṣegoi kakaij.
The Ṣeka ritual will expell all White people from the land on which it is performed.
The ritual must be followed to the letter or it may not work.
1. You must find a Creosote (greasewood) ring (a ring of creosote bushes).
2. You must clip a small branch off of each bush in the ring, using no modern tools. (if you have no traditional tools, you must use your hands)
3. You must make a small circle with rocks in the center of the ring.
4. You must place the clippings in the circle.
5. You must strip the clippings of all seeds, but save the seeds because you will need them later.
6. You must light the clippings on fire, using no modern tools. (if you cannot start a fire, it is acceptable to use modern tools but only so long as you can swear on your honor that you tried your best)
7. You must walk around the fire slowly, singing the following words, except they must be in the native tongue (do your best to translate it):
Oh greasewood bushes,
Oh majestic long-lived greasewood bushes,
Tell me your ancient secrets
You have seen so much since your birth
You have seen hard times and prosperous times
You have seen war and you have seen peace
You have seen the white man come and cause us trouble
Please, I beg of you oh greasewood bushes, send the white men back from whence they came!
You saw them come, you saw them come, you saw them come
Please make them go, make them go, make them go
I beg of you oh greasewood bushes, send them back from whence they came!
Lead us back to our old life ways, for the white men have led us astray!
I beg of you oh greasewood bushes, undo the damage they have done!
This land is ours, this land is ours, this land is ours!
I beg of you oh greasewood bushes, send them back!
Send them away, send them away, send them away!
Send them away, as I now send off your children.
8. When you sing the line "I beg of you oh greasewood bushes, send them back" (two lines away from the end), pick up the seeds you have separated. On the next line, hold them in cupped hands. On the last line, cast them out into the wind with an outwards movement of your arms such that when you are done your hands are open and in front of you, and your arms make the shape of the letter V.
9. Sit by the fire facing to the east, legs crossed.
10. Listen and watch the crackling of the embers and let it consume your thoughts.
11. Wait until the fire goes out on its own (for this reason do not do this in a brushy area or it will never go out), and then say (in the native tongue) "I beg of you, o greasewood, grant my humble request".
Soon after you have done all this, a strong wind will arise that will blow all white people and any others not indigenous to the land, along with their personal belongings, back from whence they came. Indians will not be affected by this wind.
