North Carolina Highway 84

NC 84 is a twelve-mile North Carolina State Highway. It runs its entire distance in Union County.
[edit] Western Terminus
NC 75 starts at NC 16 in Weddington. It is 35 miles per hour before leaving town.
NC 84 is very short and serves little purpose other than to connect Weddington and Monroe.
[edit] Eastern Terminus
NC 84 multiplexs with NC 75 one mile from Monroe. There is no reason for the multiplexation as the combined NC 84/NC 75 ends at NC 200 one mile from there.
NC 84 has never been reroutened or widened. However, with urban sprawl, NC 84 will likely be widened soon.
