[edit] Addition of a History section
I wrote my master's thesis on Northumberland County (covering the years from 1651 to 1665), so had to find out about the origin of the county. Some of this info was taken from the county's website, which is already cited in the map section.

[edit] Minor Edits to Significant Villages
Made some minor changes to the significant "villages" in Northumberland. The county is extremely rural, and there are no large towns to speak of. However, Callao is considered the largest "town" in Northumberland, and was not included on the list. The Wicomico Church area is also a distinct part of Northumberland not represented by the other locations. I also changed the spelling of "Fair Port" to its correct local spelling "Fairport".
I was raised in Northumberland County my entire life, and stand by the accuracy of these edits.
