[edit] About Me
After experimenting for awhile, expanding a few articles, patrolling for vandalism, and adding to a few talk pages I've decided I'm probably going to be here for awhile so I had best put SOMETHING on this page.
I am a mid-fifties grandfather and recent retiree. The name North Shoreman refers to my residence on the Ohio side of Lake Erie in the western suburbs of Cleveland. My primary interest is the American Civil War and the antebellum period. I am working around the periphery of the major articles while I get my feet wet -- anyone interested in my style can look at articles I've expanded which at this point are Thomas Caute Reynolds, Georgia Platform, David Wilmot, and Doughface.
I look to be adding to the William Lowndes Yancey and Wilmot Proviso articles in the near future (accomplished as of April 7, 2007) and would like to beef up some of the other articles relating to the various southern Fire-Eaters and other events from the 1830s on relating to the origins of the Civil War. On the war itself, my main interests are the Western and Trans-Mississippi areas. Tom (North Shoreman) 23:07, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
