From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nova Scotia Route 221 is a Nova Scotia collector road that runs in the Annapolis Valley in both Kings County and Annapolis County from Kingsport to Middleton. It is widely known locally as "The Back Road" as it runs parallel but back from the Valley's oldest main road Nova Scotia Route 1. Running along rich farmland at the base of the North Mountain, it crosses some of the best farmland in Nova Scotia which sustains a string of agricultural villages.
