Noxer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Noxer paving stone is a product of Mitsubishi Materials Corporation which uses the catalytic properties of titanium oxide (TiO2) in order to remove nitrogen oxides (NOx) from the air. Trials of this material on outdoor buildings and in streets and highway paving are on-going. The City of Westminster is the first place in Europe to test Noxer blocks. If the scheme is succesful other footways in the City will be repaved.
The technology has been in use in Japan since being originally tested in Osaka in 1997.
