John R. Winston was created Jan. 1. 1997 in Chicago, Illinois as a create-a-wrestler (CAW). He began his career undefeated with a sparkling record of 19 - 0.
He had assumed domination in the virtual wrestling world where he defeated countless opponents with a powerbomb pin. Most nights he couldn't find competition because cowardly CAWs declined to enter the squared circle when he simply was in the arena.
NO MERCY
He's held multiple title belts but contemplated retirement around 2001 after he was brutally assaulted in a vicious No Way Out match.
In this match two CAWs known only by the names of "Burn" and "Genocide" had agreed to a triple threat Ladder match. The match proceeded normally, with
the three legendary combatants beating each other down in typical fashion, but
as the match progressed, Winston's every expanding ego dominated the match. Without prior agreement a silent alliance was formed between Burn and Genocide, as the two wrestlers forced John R. Winston (known by his creator as J-Dub) to do something he had never done in his illustrious career -- TAP.
Like Fred Astaire he tapped, and tapped, and tapped again. With no referee in sight to stop the damn thing, he must have tapped a good 20 to 25 times before it just wasn't fun for the faction and they mercifully ended the match.
The laughter and humiliation mentally scarred John R. Winston and his creator for six years. With wreslting fans' memories as short as Rob Van Dam's reign as WWE champion and Winston's dominance shattered and long forgotten, he was ridiculed by once adoring fans and his virtual WWE peers for six years.
WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw - 2006
Whispers ran wild that John R. Winston had been spotted in Parts Unknown and that he would return in Smackdown v. Raw '06. (Apparently, he tore down the cockpit door, removed the two pilots who had already made the ultimate sacrifice and pointed that bad boy down.) 2006 also saw a swirl of rumors about the formation of a semi-legendary stable simply known as TTP (The Total Package) but was never seen in ring. Ultimately, to the dismay and disappointment of many, Winston didn't return to the virtual squared circle.
WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw - 2007
Winston had not wrestled in about six years when he decided to make a stunning comeback. He returned to the squared circle Nov. 2006 where his record is a disappointing 41 - 78. A shameful record given his natural talent and sheer physical strength. Many questioned his desire, his heart, and his passion for the virtual world of sports entertainment.
Then during the week of Dec. 24 Winston faced Burn, one of the two CAW's that destroyed his exsistance for six years . Burn held the N2BG Title and offered a title shot to Winston if he agreed to a 15 minute Ironman Match. John R. Winston agreed to the match ? and won. Since then, he's added new moves to his arsenal and plans to be the longest reigning champion since -- John R. Winston circa 2001.
