Nueva Crónica y Buen Gobierno, of Felipe Huamán Poma of Ayala, was lost for several centuries. The original manuscript of the chronicle was discovered in 1908 by Richard Pietschmann, in the Royal Library of Copenhagen and it was published for the first time, but in edition facsimile, by the Frenchman Paul Rivet in 1936.

One believes that for some reason this manuscript went to stop to the library of Count duke of Olive groves. Later librarian was sold part of this fund and it was bought by Cornelius Pedersen Lerche, ambassador of Denmark in Spain. Nevertheless, this is only a theory.
