Nurilla Zakirov

Zakirov, Nurilla (1942,Tashkent,Uzbekistan - 2003,Atlanta,USA), Soviet and Uzbek classic composer.
He was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and studied in Tashkent State Conservatory in class of B.Zeidman (composition) and A.Yablonovsky(piano). He worked as a vice-chairman of the Union of Composers of USSR and Uzbekistan (later) for many years.Former chairman of Music Foundation of UzbekistanRepublic.
In 2000 he moved to USA for political and professional reasons.
Among his works are the ballets, operas,piano and violin concertos, symphonies and chamber and piano music, music for movies and other works.
