Caption: On patrol in Honiara NZ troops from 2/1 RNZIR (from Burnham Military Camp) preparing to go on patrol in Honiara. The vehicle is the NZ Army's Light Operational Vehicle (LOV) Pinzgauer. This is the first operational deployment for the LOV and replaces the 4x4 Land Rover. The LOV comes in a number of variants including: Armoured, General Service (photo), Workshop, Ambulance, Special Operations and Command and Control.
