Amborellaceae is een botanische naam van een familie van bedektzadigen. Een dergelijke familie wordt tegenwoordig algemeen erkend door systemen voor plantentaxonomie. Ook het APG II systeem (2003), onveranderd ten opzichte van het APG systeem (1998), erkent deze familie.
De familie bestaat uit één soort, Amborella trichopoda, die voorkomt op Nieuw Caledonië.
Noch APG, noch APG II plaatste deze familie in een orde. De APWebsite [2 dec 2006] plaatst haar in een eigen orde Amborellales.
