Marc Hooghe

Marc Hooghe is een Vlaams politicoloog en socioloog , doctor in de Sociologie en politicologie en hoofddocent aan de Faculteit Sociale wetenschappen van de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Enkele van zijn onderzoeksdomeinen zijn: politieke participatie, sociale bewegingen, sociaal kapitaal en sociale cohesie. In 2004 was hij laureaat van Outstanding Article Award for Best Article Nonprofit and Voluntary Associations Quarterly. Hij is tevens voorzitter van het Politologisch Instituut, de vereniging voor politicologie in Vlaanderen. Hij is hoofdredacteur van Acta Politica. International Journal of Political Science.
