Talk:Oberst

Why is there an entire paragraph of this article devoted to American perceptions and stereotyping from cinema? That paragraph should be deleted - POV issue. --Erskine
- I dont think its POV to state an image which is portrayed in American cinema. The paragraph even cites a reference, that being Colonel Klink. -Husnock 17:23, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
- I agree, "Herr Oberst" has become a stock character in American cinema and TV, much like the Roman miles gloriosus and it is worth noting here. --Joe 18:40, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
Hi, responding to your comment regarding the reversions on the Democracy entry: I would be happy to collaborate on a concensus version. As I have repeatedly tried to explain to Ultramarine (see the talk page of Democracy) "my" version of that entry attempts to make a clear, objective and uncontroversial definition. I have also recently tried to cut that entry to a reasonable size by deleting sections that were simply duplicating existing entries. Ultramarine seems to be policing some rigid ideological line - see for example his actions over at Freedom House. Best, --Drono 02:11, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
