Ocean Shores, New South Wales

Ocean Shores (2001 population: 3,466) is a town in New South Wales, Australia in Byron Shire. It is off the Pacific Highway, close to Byron Bay and the Queensland border.
Ocean Shores borders other towns like Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby and Billinudgel. The north arm of the Brunswick River weaves through the eastern side of Ocean shores and ends out west in small locality called The Pocket. The lookout at Ocean Shores located in the middle of the town, has a 360 degree view of the Pacific Ocean and the Byron Hinterland. Ocean Shores is the second largest town in the Byron Shire behind Byron Bay and in front of Mullumbimby. Ocean Shores has a large and popular 18 hole golf course and a small shopping center located next to Marshels Creek (North Arm, Brunswick River) Nature Reserve. Opposite the shopping center is the towns community hall. Transport: Ocean Shores is around 40 minutes away from either Gold Coast Airport or Ballina Byron Gateway Airport. The town has got a local Taxi service and bus services.
