Ogasawara Tadasane

Ogasawara Tadazane a notable lord of the Ogasawara clan within the Edo period (17th century) of Japan. While being the daimyo over Kokura, Tadazane had many adepts under him. One such notable vassal under Tadazane was Takada Matabei, a master of the lance. It is known that Tadazane was very well versed within the ways of strategy. Tadazane had at one time invited the famous Miyamoto Musashi as his guest, who was supposedly known as the best adept of strategy in Japan. Other than Takada Matabei, he also had a man by the name of Musashi Genshin as to represent the way of the sword. It used to say through respect of Tadasane's senior vassals, "We have the two eyes, one of which is the best sword and the other the best lance".
