On May 5 2006, Prudius had his first untelevised WWE debut match during a house show in San Jose, California, defeating Rob Conway. The next night, at another house show in Sacramento, California, Matt Striker cut a promo on Prudius, calling him a "filthy immigrant" causing Prudius to attack him. Prudius then picked up the microphone and said he that he is "proud to be in America".
On the December 18, 2006 edition of RAW, Prudius made an appearance as a WWE prospect named Vladimir Kozlov. Kozlov made another appearance in the same week on SmackDown!. Kozlov has since appeared on the January 2nd 2007 edition of ECW on SciFi. The next day on January 3rd, Kozlov was interviewed on WWE.com, claiming he could beat both ECW Extremists Bobby Lashley and Rob Van Dam.
Prudius defeated Eugene in a Dark match at New Years Revolution on January 7, 2007. He made another appearance the next night on RAW. During an interview with Jerry 'The King' Lawler , when asked what he thought about the match which was scheduled to take place that night between John Cena and The Great Khali , he claimed that he could beat both Cena and Khali. He made yet another appearance on Jan. 26th 2007 edition of SmackDown! stating that he can defeat all "29" men in the Royal Rumble. On the Jan. 29th 2007 edition of RAW he stated he could throw The Great Khali, Edge, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, or even The Undertaker over the top rope. He then added in Russian, "They do not know what awaits them!"
