Aipysurus laevis |
The olive green sea snake, Aipysurus laevis is about the most venomous snake in the world. 1.5 milligrams of venom is sufficient to kill one adult human. They live mainly in the Indo-Pacific area and like to live in and around coral reefs.
Although they are about the most venomous snake, human attacks are rare and indeed they are not bad tempered.
