Omealca is a municipality of the state of Veracruz in Mexico.
The city has a population of about 29,300 habitants. More than 80% of the people are below the poverty line. There are no cable TV or Internet services in this part of the state. Telephone lines are available for only two or three wealthy families who own estates in Omealca.
The population of Omealca is a mixture of African slaves and Amerindians. There are also a few people of European descent mixed with Amerindian, and a few Mulattos.
