[edit] Open-Xchange Hosting Edition
The Open-Xchange Hosting Edition is a Linux-based, open source groupware solution architected to integrate into a hosting provider's existing infrastructure (such as authentication, provisioning, billing, and email storage), rather than require that these systems be replaced. The OX Hosting Edition features an AJAX user interface with automatic updates and drop-and-drop capabilities.
[edit] OXtenders and Integration
The Open-Xchange integration philosophy is based on common standards, working with existing IT infrastructure on standard interfaces such as WebDAV and XML (commercial version) interfaces and Java API to allow for effortless IT evolution. The rapid assimilation and innovation is built into the very components that OX is created from, with structural security features, anti-spam, archiving, and anti-spam elements. Other OX features include:
- LiveBookmarks (Mozilla Firefox)
- Ox Backup: SEP, Arkeia
- Sarbox Archiving: MPP
- Fax: Ferrari
Additional features, exclusive to the commercial version of OX include: plugins for Outlook and PALM, SyncML interface, and a Samba interface.
