OpenView Forum International (OVFI)- and recently rebranded as Vivit - is a non-profit corporation founded in 1993 by customers of Hewlett-Packard Software's products to represent the interests of HP Software customers, developers, and partners world-wide. OVFI has grown over time to represent all the interests of a growing HP Software Community - including services for worldwide communities brought in to HP Software through acquisition. (e.g. Peregrine, Mercury etc.) It consists of thousands of members representing all areas of Business and Industry. OpenView Forum International is an independent corporation and users group not affiliated with Hewlett-Packard Company , but is the sanctioned user group of HP Software.

OVFI is governed by a membership-elected Board of Directors and operates according to published corporate bylaws and policies. Corporate officers are elected by the Board of Directors.
The Board manages the Executive Director, who in turn manages the operations of the group, using staff and volunteers .
[edit] Volunteers
Most of the work of Openview Forum International is performed by volunteers. Members of the HP Software Community are encouraged to participate in the work and services of the user group by donating their time and expertise to help deliver services.

OVFI offers a variety of services to its members which support itsservice goals of advocacy, communication, and education for the OpenView customer and provider community. These services include:
- On-line and regional users events and conferences
- InForum newsletter
- Direct representation to HP through face to face meetings and our electronic requirements survey mechanisms
- Email reflectors and discussion groups on a variety of HP Software and related special interest topics
- Support for local/regional chapter activities and special interest groups. When you sign up for membership with OVFI, you can elect to participate in regional local chapter meetings that may be available.
- Provisioning and organization of related technical materials and FAQ's etc. on its web site
- Online networking tools
