I have recently started an "episode of optic neuritis" for the first time. My only other experience of vision loss before this was the aura I experienced before a migraine. My migraines tend to be very mild, about 30 minutes of vision loss (both eyes) followed by 3 hours of headache, occuring every 3 to 6 months. I am just wondering whether there is any relationship between migraines and optic neuritis, and whether there are similar causes.Pdjenner 14:57, 30 January 2007 (UTC) yes, there is a link. i've had optic neuritis, you get migraines. i had headaches that went on for days
