Ordo solis

The Ordo Solis is a LARP and philosophical group based in Europe. It uses fantasy LARP as powerful media capable of reviving ancient myths and archetypes through Guided Imagery. The philosophy of the group has elements from the western Cabala and the eastern Advaita Vedanta philosophy.

- Born in Sicily during the Winter Solstice 1997.
- 2001: creation of the German Chapter.
- 2003: creation of the Belgian Chapter.

The group uses the Tree of Life as path to perform practical every day actions: the swordmanship, the way to prepare food or the way to build a camp are inspired by the Tree of life. This approach is very similar to the taoism or Zen.

We believe in the Light as Equilibrium between Honor and Heart.
The Honor is the expression of the Stability of the Universe. Justice, Understanding, Perseverance or Yin are synonyms of Honour. We can also define it as the Left Disequilibrium of the Balance.
The Heart is the expression of the Dynamism of the Cosmos. Love, Vitality, Mercy or Yang are synonyms of Heart. We can also define it as the Right Disequilibrium of the Balance.
The Light is the ontological Principle of the Being. There are thousands synonyms of Light and we respect each of them. We can define it also as the Equilibrium Point of the Balance.
We call the ensemble of all these values Spiritus Solis (the Spirit of the Sun).
So we look for the Absolute through the harmony and beauty. Nature and arts are expression of this harmony. The substantial unity between Transcendence and Emmanence.The human being as made from body, feeling, mind and spirit.
The realized human being is skilled in all these expressions.

The Ordo Solis is proposing A Democratic LARP Revolution that liberates the gamers from Organizations and the concept of Dungeon Master.
The order takes part in the main EU LARP events like:

- The Drachenfest in Germany
- Balance of Magic in Sweden
- the Festa di Primavera in Italy
