Orfeh (born on March 28, 1974 is an American singer and Broadway actress from New York City. She originated the role of Annette in the Broadway hit Saturday Night Fever, as well as starring in Footloose and the Gershwins' Fascinating Rhythm. She has also played Janis Joplin in the off Broadway smash, Love, Janis. She is currently playing Paulette in the Broadway show Legally Blonde: The Musical, based on the hit film starring Reese Witherspoon.
She was named by her mother after the opera Black Orfeus, and is married to actor Andy Karl, who originated the role of Luke in the off-Broadway musical, Altar Boyz. She has also done voice acting in video games Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, in which she voiced one of the main character's girlfriends, Millie Perkins. Television appearances include Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Sex and The City, MTV's MADE and Chappelle's Show on Comedy Central. Orfeh enjoyed recording success early on in her career with pop group Or-N-More on EMI. Her single "Everyotherday" was a hit both stateside and abroad. More recently, Orfeh co-wrote the song "Wishing On You" which appears on the soundtrack of the Disney film, Model Behavior. Orfeh can be heard on the cast recording for the off-Broadway musical The Great American Trailer Park Musical as well as many other Broadway and pop albums.
