Ostyak

Ostyak on its own or in combination, can refer, especially in older literature, to several Siberian peoples and languages.
- Ostyak usually means the Khanty people, or the Finno-Ugric Khanty language that they speak.
- Yenisei Ostyak refers to the Kets, or to the Ket language, a member of the Yeniseian language group of language isolates.
- Ostyak-Samoyed refers to the Selkups (one of the Samoyedic peoples), or to the Samoyedic Selkup language.
