Oulunsalo

Oulunsalo (Uleåsalo in Swedish) is a municipality in the province of Oulu, in Finland. The municipality is located in Northern Finland just south-west of the city of Oulu. The population of Oulunsalo is 9,315 (December 31, 2005) and the municipality covers an area of 82.58 km² (excluding sea areas) of which 0.96 km² is inland water. The population density is 112,8 inhabitants per km². The municipality was founded in 1882.
Oulu Airport is located in Oulunsalo.
Oulunsalo is one of the fastest growing areas in Finland among the other municipalities around Oulu.
