Is there a source reference that the origin of this song is related to an affair? I find it unusual that mention is only made of a personal relationship being the motivation of the song, while ignoring anything regarding the technical structure of the song with regard to its arrangement and intricate harmonies. The quoted audio interview explains the event of the composition pretty concisely (while retaining a bit of GN's candid speech pattern, which is kind of charming).
