Pablo Sáinz Villegas

Pablo Sáinz Villegas (born 1977) is a Spanish classical guitarist.
He studied under Miguel Ubis at the Professional Conservatory of Music in La Rioja, and later with Paulino García Blanco and José Luis Rodrigo in Madrid, Thomas Müller-Pering in Weimar, and David Starobin in New York. He has won fourteen international competitions, including the 2003 International Guitar Competition Francisco Tárrega. He has worked with composers including Helmut Lachenmann, George Crumb and Cristóbal Halffter. His recordings include world premières of music by Federico Moreno Torroba and Andrés Segovia, as well as Luciano Berio's Sequenza XI for a complete edition of the Sequenzas.
