Padra is a city and a municipality in Vadodara district in the Indian state of Gujarat. Padra is located about 11 kilometres from Vadodara city.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Padra had a population of 35,922. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Padra has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 72%. In Padra, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.

The Indian pharmaceutical company Cadila Healthcare has a plant to make active pharmaceutical ingredient at Dabhasa within Padra taluka.

Padra is one of 182 constitutencies in Gujarat's state legislature, the Gujarat Assembly. The seat was won in the 2002 elections by Poonam Parmar of the BJP with 46% of the vote. Parmar lives in a Padra town called Latipura.
